Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Dirty Dawg

This male is not available as seed, but used by SoCal Seed Co. for a lots of hybrids. The name really describes the parents well. The ChemD dirtied up with the earthiness of the Afghani. Expect a more Indica version of the ChemD. The growth pattern reminds me of an OG clone, similar scent too. As expected, oozing with resin. Dirty Dawg retains the potency of the ChemD with a little more of the sedative "stoney" traits of the Afi. Genetics: (ChemD/Afghani #1) IX Sativa/Indica: 80+% Indica Indoor: 9-10 Weeks Odor Level: Average - Above Average Stretch: 2x Yield: Average - Above Average
