Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Dream Berry
Female Seeds presents the cannabis variety Dream Berry, a Sativa hybrid from the Blue family of genetics, with a red berry aroma and a creative and stimulating high. The Dream Berry was born from the encounter between the hugely popular Blue Dream and the Blueberry Cheesecake variety from Female Seeds, giving Sativa-leaning plants that are easy to grow and fast to flower. The growth of Dream Berry is not the fastest, with plants remaining compact and well branched, before stretching during the transition to flowering. Crop optimisation techniques such as pruning, trellising or SCROG can help to deal with the stretch and limit final height, promoting the ripening of its flowers. Dream Berry tends to form hard, compact buds on the tips of its branches, while other flowers in the lower parts of the plants will remain more open in structure. As a legacy of the Blue family, its leaves can take on dark shades, while its colas will grow a multitude of large pistils giving them a fluffy appearance. In indoor cannabis grows, Dream Berry can be harvested after 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, producing 200 to 400g of quality flower per square meter. In outdoor growing, it can reach 2 to 4 meters
