Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Durbalayan
This 1977 Himalayan was collected near the Nepal border and bred with Skunk in 1980. It was later passed on to AKBB, who crossed it with a Durban F3 mother from 1990 SSSC stock. The result combines the Sativa traits of the single-stemmed Himalayan plants with the bushy structure of the Durban. It is highly cold-resistant and very mold-resistant, with plenty of hashy terpinoline
