Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Excelsior

Excelsior - SFV OG Kush x Dr. Hoffman of all the OG Kush varieties we have tried, SFV is the skunkiest, most fuelly by far. Problem with her is that her structure is horrendous. This cross brings the flavor and Chuck Norris-esq strength from the OG, while taking the stout hydra- like structure of the Dr. Hoffman, and we couldn’t be happier with the out come
