Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Expert 47
Expert 47 is an easy to grow, medium-sized plant that produces good quality yields quickly, making it ideal for professional or private growers. It has a short, yet intense, flowering cycle for a Sativa and produces compact buds packed with THC (21%) and relatively few leaves that are very shiny owing to their high levels of accumulated resin. Winner of 7 cannabis cups, including best Sativa at the High Times Cannabis Cup 1999, making it a firm favourite for smokers and growers. Very pleasant, yet intense, long-lasting effect. Although we wouldn’t recommend using for tasks that require intense concentration, it’s an excellent option for undertaking physical activity or general daytime recreational use. Also be aware that the strong odour produced during growth and when smoked might attract unwanted attention... Genetic Background: 35% Indica 65% Sativa
