Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Forest Fire

This is a very, very strong OG Kush hybrid. I took the shortest, stoutest male Headband Bx (now Yeti OG) and pollinated the Nor-Cal Fire OG cut. Hence the name. These are very resilient and sturdy plants for being very OG dominant, no lanky branches or floppy buds, These stay on the shorter side with minimal stretch, some may double in height if left naturally, but most will only stretch about 50% when topped. These plants have amazing trichome production, even the smaller fan leaves are encrusted, making for great extracts with trim. Some phenos look much greasier than others, Those are the phenos I prefer. They have a rather large finishing window, due to the Headband, some folks like it at 56 days, while others like it at the full 9.5 weeks. I take it to about 9 weeks as I use this strain as one of my main pain killers now. It has a very thick kushy taste and an amazing first exhale. This hybrid will help with Chronic Joint/Muscle pain, MS, Stress and Anxiety, Insomnia and really any type of muscle aching or nerve pain. This is very good medicine
