Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Frictrix

For me Apple Fritter has one of the most desirable effects of the new school strains. It’s evenly balanced high and the sudden lift in the mind and mood with a moderate body relaxation, making it unique in the modern cannabis world where effect is often overlooked for bag appeal. The intention of this cross was to add more sour to the already sweet apple flavor and of course a bit of potency. The structure was improved but retains the unusual word like flowers. Many plants will still exhibit the desirable aubergine notes and pure white trichomes.
