Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Frigate Bird Kush

This strain from Span Lion Genetics arose from crossing Gelato 33 and Gelato 41 together and then crossing the pheno hunted keeper to a male Chem Cat. This cross produces beautiful black leafed plants with dark purple buds towards the end of harvest with an aromatic stench of pine, gas and hints of sweetness. The name originated from the National bird of Antigua and Barbuda the Frigate Bird as this strain will have you soaring through the skies like one
