Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Frosty Buckeye
Pre-release testing of Madd Farmer Genetics Strawberry Frost gave a highly resinous keeper which was pollinated with an ’89 NL 5 male. This crossing produced a beautiful mother with rock hard NL buds and the high resin production of the Strawberry Frost. This mother was pollinated by keeper Buckeye Purple male.
A pheno hunters dream, this poly-hybrid will produce a different plant from every seed. Expect to see plants that exhibit traits from Tom Hill’s Deep Chunk, Kushman’s Strawberry Cough, SpaceQueen, NL 5, and the Buckeye Purple heritage of Grand Daddy Purple and Gorilla Grape
