Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

So much so, one of their earliest creations, dating back to 2014, was an enticing high-THC cross between Ganesh and TGA’s Plushberry. The genetics were never available commercially, since Zion Botanicals primarily produces marijuana for dispensaries. We did however receive seeds from them and selected plants for further development, to produce the current limited edition, which is bound to appeal to a wide range of growers. Both Plushberry and Ganesh are known for their amazing resin content, as well as medical benefits, and these features have been carefully preserved. TGA’s Plushberry has a
