Type I
THC-dominant
Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Ghost Ship
This strong, kushy, purple indica draws largely from its Purple Kush Starship roots – an outstanding strain with a strong body high and almost muscle-relaxing effects. Generally kush-structured with very beautiful, mostly purple buds on strong stems. The nose is right in between the sinister Kush and the friendly Starship. A classic indica buzz, Ghost Ship has a mellow and easy feel without lethargy or couch-lock. As with most indicas, it can be a bit slow to root, so be careful not to overwater when young. Slower feeding (similar to OG Kush or Starship) works best for this strain. Genetics Ghostship #2 x Gupta Kush
