Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Golden Child

While we love the sweet pineapple taste and dreamy relaxing indica stone, the slow veg and weak yield of the Oaxaca mom leaves room for some improvements. This Cross is just what the old girl needed with nice added vigor, much better root system, stronger branching, larger yields, all make her much better in the garden. Vigorous chunky pineapple phenos are the keepers!!! Genetics: Highland Oaxaca Gold x Chelumbian (65% Sativa) Yield: Average Flowering times indoor: 56-60 days Harvesting outdoor: September - October
