Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Grape Chronic

Genetics: Original Chronic ’91 x Grapegod Variety: 80% Indica Avg. Flowering Time: 9 Weeks Yield: Very Heavy Potency: High We managed to obtain an original Chronic specimen that absolutely blew us away with her amazing yield, super-dense buds, and classic intense skunk aroma. We pollenated her with our Grapegod male to add some citrusy flavours into the mix and the result was an absolutely mind blowing hybrid that grows fast and big with commercial grade yields. All phenotypes are incredibly dank and produce dense and sticky buds with impressive weight. Expect to see two main phenotypes; a slightly taller Chronic leaning plant with a classic pungent sweet skunk smell and thin bladed leaf structure that takes 9 weeks to ripen, and a slightly shorter Grapefruit pheno with long colas that fill out from top to bottom with mouth watering citrus and pine scented flowers that ripen in just 8 weeks. Note: Be on the lookout for the rare, connoisseur grade, Welch’s Grape phenotype identifiable by it’s sweet grape flavour and dense purple buds
