When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). With selection and breeding by Shrimp, we have come full circle with the entire Ocean Grown Breeding Team having a hand in the development of this hybrid.
