Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Hawaiian Gold

Sativa 70/30 Flower Cycle: 10-14 weeks Yield: Average Hawaiian Gold in part of the new Legendary Genetix line bringing the Old School Flavors and strains from the past into new variants using Hawaiian genetics from the 70’s and 80’s. Hawaiian Gold uses a select Maui Gold female which was covered in tall standing resin glands on top of tight floral cluster spears which turned colors of greens and purples with white trichomes standing on each little spear like bud. The male was from a Hawaiian sativa line which was collected on the islands during a vacation in the early 80’s
