Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

Mochi Gelato is also known as Gelato #47. Horchata strain, easy to grow cannabis with a generous harvest Horchata is a strong, shrubby, dense flowering plant. It has a great ability to adapt to different growing conditions, offering generous yields. Horchata requires about 10 weeks to fully mature. Both experienced and novice growers can obtain a harvest with quality flowers due to its easy and grateful cultivation. This variety responds very well to SCROG cultivation. Horchata offers a yield of up to 650g per m2 indoors, while outdoors it can delivers a similar yield, with the harvest ready in mid-October in the Northern Hemisphere. Horchata, sweet and high THC level Horchata delivers a sweet aroma, with a vanilla, skunk and menthol background. Terpenes such as caryophyllene, limonene, pinene and myrcene are noted, which emphasise a lot of nuances in its bouquet. Thanks to the resin quality, it is certainly a very suitable variety to elaborate concentrates. Horchata is a potent strain. It can reach a THC leve
