Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Hurricane

Type - Hybrid; 30% indica 70% Sativa Appearance - Semi-dense flowers which often turn a purple'ish color later in flower. Covered in crystals. Smell - Fruit punch with earthy+spicy undertones Taste - Herbal / earthy flavor with an after taste of fruit punch Type of Buzz - Although this is a sativa dominate strain, her indica side shows through in her body buzz which provides a substantial amount of pain killing properties. The effects start right in your face an move down through your body often providing a numbing effect in the arms + legs. Flowers harvested earlier obviously produce more of a euphoric effect whereas later harvest provide a much more mellow feeling. A very "happy" buzz which can even result in a case of the giggles. Length of Buzz - 2-3 hrs Best Medicinal Use - Unknown Overall - A very good overall medicine which IMO can be used for pain relief and other medicinal applications. The "happy" feeling induced by this strain makes it one of my all time favourites. Easily rivals top-quality commercial flowers found at dispensary's here in Colorado
