Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Imperialism I

The Long Valley Royal Kush brings in that classic grape gas to the more subtle pallet of the X18. The keeper pheno is largely Royal Kush with some pumped up bud girth from the x18 and a sligly more traditional indica structure. The x18 is pretty susceptible to fungal attacks and as such this plant does better in the controlled indoor environment. I think this should largely be addressed by f3 but is still an issue in the f1 gen
