Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Twelve years ago I ran Killer Queen and kept the Cindy Dominant female and I have looked for over a decade for the G-13 phenotype. Once we found this heavy resin producer we crossed it with our Jack the Ripper to combine the citrus taste with the ultimate resin producing plant.
