Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Jawbreaker 47
A medium height plant with a potent Sativa dominant and incomparable flavour, a crossing of legendary strains mixing the most refined Sativa genetics in a latest-generation hybrid. She is steady, reliable and easy to grow. Her strengths are her relatively short flowering time, homogeneity, speed, density, compact height and her truly high yield. Jawbreaker 47 shows a dense and plentiful flowering flooded with trichomes and she works at full capacity in both indoors and outdoors gardens. She is highly resistant to plagues, but she may need special attention indoors to prevent the presence of mould in an enclosed warm environment, due to her high yield of resinous buds. Her flavour is unmistakably intense, a singular combination of fresh floral notes, hardwood and spices with a subtle citric hint. A perfect plant for recreational use and also as a pain reliever.
