Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Kandy Clementine

Kandy Clementine is an Indica Dominant variety that was bred by Nasty Nature Genetics. The variety was born from the cross of Nasty Nature Genetics' selected phenotype of DNA Genetics' Kandy Kush (mother) and Nasty Nature Genetics' selected male plant from a seed run of Colorado Seed Company's Clementine Kush (father). The two combined together to create a dense green purple maroon colors, and a sugary funky citrus cultivar, that has great stress tolerance, rezin development, and medium to high yield of 400+ Gr/m2
