Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About KGB

KGB is one of VISC’s finest creations. An Afghani hybrid crossed with a Burmese hybrid gave us a high yielding, flavourful, stony, plant that were distinctly her own. After generations of careful breeding KGB was born. As a stable pure breed we’ve grown KGB ever since, for personal, production and breeding purposes. This mostly Indica, VISC original, has a beautiful smell and a high that is full and enjoyable. Grown in a two gallon pot with a flowering time of 7-8 weeks you can expect yields of 90-115 grams / 3-4 ounces
