Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

Compound Genetics has used on one hand The Menthol, its self-produced genetic base, a cross between Gelato 45 x (White Diesel x (High Octane x Jet Fuel G6), and on the other hand Khalifa Kush, an Og family Indica dominant (80%) that contains high THC levels of 26-29%. Khalifa Mints shows a vigorous growth. It responds well to different cultivation systems and techniques both indoors and outdoors, as well as optimization methods such as pruning and tutoring. Khalifa Mints has an exceptional flowering, with a high yield of up to 680g per m2 indoors ready in 9 weeks, and a yield of up to 1400g per plant cultivated outdoors with the harvest ready in October. It produces large, compact, heavy, highly resinous buds covered with large trichomes. These trichomes contain a high THC level, not yet specified by Compound Genetics. Despite this, taking into account its direct ancestor Khalifa Kush we can guess that it has inherited not only its exce
