Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Klementine

Klementine by R-Kiem Seeds, a regular marijuana plant cross between Tangerine Sunrise, well-known as one of the best 2014 Colorado strains, and Gupta Kush, a powerful and delicious strain with Og Kush direct inheritance. This variety developed by crossing both ancestors to produce an S1 version. Tangerine Sunrise is a cross between Hawaiian Sunrise, a Hawaiian Sativa, and Tangenesia, a Tangerine cannabis strain and Haze (Ghiesel x Amnesia Haze) hybrid. Klementine cultivation Klementine is a plant that exhibits hybrid vigour and adapts well to both indoor and outdoor cultivation, as well as to different growing systems and the various cannabis-growing substrates. Klamentine has a flowering period of about 58-65 days, producing beautiful, compact and very resinous buds that exude a powerful organoleptic load. It offers a high yield of about 700g per m2 indoors and can yield over 700g per plant outdoors. These Sativa dominant plants deliver an orange and tangerine flavour with the Hawaiian strain's sweet touch, as well as earthy and musky undertones that result in a powerful and complex aroma and flavour that will appeal to Kush lovers with a strong presence of citric touches.
