Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 100%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Kolo Kush

A cross of Pre-98 Bubba Kush and an unknown strain, although it exhibits mostly Bubba dominance. A lanky plant with many branches and bud sites, it produces a large quantity of small, hard buds that vary in hue from velvet green to deep purple with tinges of black. A fast grower, It is quite resistant to pests and other vectors. It is easy to maintain and accepts aggressive feeding. A distinct Bubba odor and taste of coffee and chocolate combined with a pleasant and potent high make this a choice strain. Look for this beauty around the front range of Colorado
