Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). An original Cheese mother controls the fruity, tangy flavour with the Kush father driving home a devilish indica punch. Great for those with limited space or cultivation experience, the Kuchi is best suited for a SOG of around 20 plants per square metre.
