Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Kush Dan

We identified the need for a strong sativa that enables people to function properly under its influence. We developed Kush Dan from a set of known medical strains (some of them are also Tchalta parents) in order to reach the best of breed in terms of the effect, taste, smell, and flower shape. Gush Dan is the name of a main district in Israel (the Tel-Aviv area) and this is why we selected the name Kush Dan
