Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). It smells really strong when blooming and that is enchanting at the same time, due to its unique aroma and flavor. The Emerald OG Kush used in the crossing provides a very high effect, up to 20% THC, with a small amount of secondary cannabinoids, so the effect is quite sativa, expansive, exhilarating, and powerful, not suitable for occasional smokers.
