Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Kyoho #20

Kyoho was bred by the Apex Solventless for hash, using genetics that wash well and have unique terpene profiles. She is a cross between Grape ZODA #7 (F) and Oishii (M). We hunted both the female and male out and loved the characteristics of each but new a cross between the two could bring out the best of each. Kyoho has a super candy grape profile that is backed up with the creamy tropical citrus known in the Oishii genetic line. She grows a lot of dense medium sized nugs, which could be attributed to each parent. It is great to grow for hash as the genetics frequently produce dumpers with unique terpene profiles.
