Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Lavender x Afghani

The idea here was to make certain clone only varieties are suitable for outdoor and indoor production using an Afghani to strengthen branching, and add pest/mold/mildew resistance in addition to a faster flowering time. Phenotype expression shows a typical 1-3-1 ratio; a mother dominant, 3 blend of the two parents, and a father dominant. This hybrid throws purple and green phenos, with the purple-grapey flavor expression, and a hashy pine mix in other phenos. 1:1 Stretch ratio Flower Cycle: 58-65 Days
