Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Lilac Poison

Lilac Poison was born from our love of floral uplifting smoke, nothing but terps here. Created by crossing Lilac Diesel Bx1 from Ethos Genetics to Poison Potion from Mountain Organic Botanicals aka MOB seeds colab pack with Calypso Gardens. We dreamed up this pairing with one thing in mind, FLAVOR! Lilac Diesel brings the potency up in this cross with average testing above 30% THC. She also donated some structural components seen in the offspring. Wonderful nodal spacing, an ideal bract to leaf ratio, and vertical structure with supportive branches. The Poison Potion father donates an amazing aroma, floral, anise, musk, and Durban zest, really rounding out and amplifying the aroma. Poison Potion also influences the overall plant structure displaying a medium bushy plant with thinner leaflets, and shorter leaf petiole. The keeper phenotype of Lilac Poison from this original cross tests over 5.16% terpenes and is absolutely dripping with terpinolene. She is the reason we started a genetics company, and what we won the 2nd place sativa dominate flower category with in 2021 at the harvest cup, our first competition we ever entered. We created our first line of offerings from the keeper
