Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About MAC 1

MAC 1: A Capulator Classic Now Available to Everyone MAC 1, or The MAC, descends from some stellar genetic lines. A cross of Alien Cookies and Miracle 15, MAC 1 was created by none other than Capulator, one of the US' most renowned breeders. To this date, Capulator selects the growers and breeders he shares his varieties with to preserve the integrity of his crop, so it's a real honour for us to be able to bring this beloved hybrid to the hands of growers like you. Growing MAC 1: A Vigorous Hybrid MAC 1 is a well-balanced hybrid with an equal split of sativa and indica genetics, which shines through in the grow room. These seeds germinate into vigorous plants with tightly spaced nodes, bright green leaves, and strong stems and branches. Thanks to its thick canopy and vigour, MAC 1 makes a good candidate for LST, topping, and other training techniques (including lollipopping). Once in bloom, MAC 1 plants stretch considerably, and mature plants can grow up to 160cm tall indoors and over 180cm outdoors. On average, MAC 1 feminized plants need a total of 9–10 weeks to finish flowering, at which point they'll be loaded with small, tight indica buds. Depending on how they're grown, MAC 1
