Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). the infamous black mamba bred by exotic genetics, giant baseball sized colas covered in trichomes wreaking of blackberry, super purple buds with that classic purple berry flavor, pollinated with a beautiful cut of mac1 V2 which we reversed. with the hopes of increasing trichome and terpene production, and what we were blessed with was nothing less than magical. super dense, incredibly fat nugs, covered in trichomes, super colorful plants. our prized pheno went entirely black in flower buds and all!!
