When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Malawi Burmese
Malawi Burmese is as expected a Sativa dominant cross of the 100% pure Sativa strain Malawi and Kagyu’s Burmese IBL line. Kagyu picked Burmese as his male as he has been an avid fan of the Burmese’s complex, enigmatic terpene through working with the strain since 2011. It can be grown either outdoors or indoors, while outdoor grow enables the maximum “robustness” potential of this plant from yield size, height, and weight. While the plant structure will be quite similar in indoor and outdoor, the height and weight will differ depending on the timeline of your vegetation stage. When growing, Kagyu recommends monitoring the height during the vegetation period and deciding when to transfer for flowering as it will retain the height. Kagyu prefers outdoor growing of this strain. He has grown to its peak at 10-11 feet in height and 6-8 feet in width.
