Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 30%Sativa 70%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Marley's Cheese
Marley’s Cheese is essentially an inbred F2 generation of the infamous Cheese Tease. Due to the magic of the F2 gene recombination, this strain has many different phenotypes with varying chemotype/resin profiles, some of which seemed to have a greater Sativa dominant genetic make-up then others
