Chemotype genetics-true
Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Marseille Haze
Marseille Haze is our very powerful version of Amnesia Haze. We get the first seeds 4 years ago from a very talented breeder from the North part of the city (Quartiers nord). Since we have been working on a feminized and stabilized version. In the vegetative phase, she grows with a lot of vigour and beautiful leafs. The Marseille Haze buds are large, heavy and incredibly resinous. Resin all over even the leafs. It’s a beautiful Sativa plant. In good indoor conditions, you can get up to 125g by plant. Outdoor, you might get 600g by plant but she’ll be ready only early November, so take care of the moistures. The THC level is between 25% and 27%. The effect is quite strong… almost psyche. Sex: Feminised seeds
THC: 25% / 27%
Outdoors height: 3m
Yield indoors: 500g per m2 under 600w
Yield outdoors: 600g per plant in a sunny region
Flowering indoors: ready after 85 days
Outdoor harvest: around 5th November
