Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Notes: I pulled a few dozen seeds from an exceptional bag of weed I scored a few years ago on the Oaxacan Coast. Brought em’ back, selected parents, and recreated this gem. More heirloom than landrace, there is def some Dutch/Cali influence in there. Phenos range from hybrids to sativa leaners, very unique flower. Thrives inside and out. Great for a beach day!
