Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Mexican Beach Weed

Genetics: Oaxacan Heirloom Type: Sativa hybrid Flowering Time:: 8-10 Weeks, Middle of October Yield: 6/10 Area (Indoor, Outdoor, Both): Both Notes: I pulled a few dozen seeds from an exceptional bag of weed I scored a few years ago on the Oaxacan Coast. Brought em’ back, selected parents, and recreated this gem. More heirloom than landrace, there is def some Dutch/Cali influence in there. Phenos range from hybrids to sativa leaners, very unique flower. Thrives inside and out. Great for a beach day! Grapefruit - Floral - Spicy
