Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Midnight Mass
A legendary Kashmiri / Bubble Candy cross, Midnight Mass is like a call to prayer for all those who worship at the altar of the Ganja Gods. This very special plant will take you on an odyssey to mystical, faraway lands, all from the comfort of your own couch. Midnight Mass inspires a strong, physical buzz, but there are also moments of great clarity along the way. A sweet, fruity fragrance gives way to earthier undertones, enveloping the senses. As the name implies, Midnight Mass grows at a rapid rate and can produce massive yields, making it a great choice for commercial crops. Early finishing and with strong mould resistance, Midnight Mass performs well outdoors, particularly in cooler climates. Indoors, it's a great choice for SOG gardens as growth is compact and uniform. With big buds and spiritual highs, Midnight Mass will have you on your knees. TYPE: Indica/Sativa mix
