Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Mint Candy from SILENT SEEDS is a top-quality exotic limited edition cannabis variety, which is the result of an exclusive creation project. We first made a wide parental selection from the regular seeds of Animal Bx1 and Face Mints from the famous Californian breeder Seedjunky Genetics. The latter is simply the creator of the now very famous Wedding Cake, Ice Cream Cake, Jealousy, Georgia Pie, and more recently Permanent Marker, among many others. Our team therefore first carried out an initial step, by rigorously selecting the Animal Bx1 and Face Mints varieties respectively according to well-defined criteria.
