Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Moondawg
This is a hybrid cross between our Chemdog91 and DJ Short’s Old Time Moonshine (OTM). The goal in this breeding was to produce offspring that contained the potency of Chemdog and incorporated the anti-anxiety effects from the Old Time Moonshine. Both characteristics have come through strong in this cross while still maintaining a strong piney/fuely taste and aroma. The OTM has contributed some of its sweetness making this cross a nice variation of the fuely type clones currently in circulation
