Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Sativa 100%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Mountain Gold
It is a cross between Golden Oaxacan x Hawaiian Sativa (Green Mountain Seeds), a 100% Sativa hybrid. Golden Oaxacan has over forty years of breeding adaptation and selection, making it a very good breeding base genetics, shortening flowering periods, providing high-level power and unique cannabinoid profiles not present in most commercial hybrids. The Hawaiian line brings sweetness and a very clean cerebral psychoactivity along with a production of big flower like arms. Mountain Gold is a fast flowering pure super Sativa from Vermontman, developed for large outdoor locations with a good adaptation to cold northern climates. Mountain Gold can be cultivated outdoors and indoors. Indoors it displays its full potential under LEDs and provides excellent results under HPS lights. It exhibits a typical Christmas tree structure and does not stretch much during flowering. It produces large, dense and heavy flowers as long as arms. Due to its strong bearing it does not require tutors to support its heavy flowers, requiring gentle nutrition with organic cultivation favoured. Flower production and yield is high. It is very resistant to botrytis. Mountain Gold has a creamy hashish aftertaste, s
