Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Mr. Binx

Mr. Binx is a cross of Sundrop (Moby Dick x Cherry Vanilla Cookies, First Class Gardens) and a Jalalabad Afghan (Male). Named after Thackery Binx, a boy who was turned into a cat by witches in the classic Hocus Pocus. Sundrop is a massive yielding plant that has strong resistance to mold and pests. Pairing with the Jalalabad male it offers even more aromas with hints of gas and earth maintaining quality yields. This plant is best grown with support as tops will lean late in flower
