Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Nepalese Baglung

Baglung Nepalese is a great offspring of the cannabis variety Nepali that the legendary Swiss breeder 'El Malo' from Bluehemp produced very successfully many years ago. For these regular seeds, ApeOrigin has combined the original Bluehemp genetics with the Baglung Nepalese from Magic Herbs, thus ensuring that this great landrace is still available. Baglung Nepalese is a mostly Sativa, a real landrace from the Baglung region that smells deliciously of chewing gum and berries - it is ideal for outdoors and for greenhouses, even guerrilla growers always get very good results with these regular outdoor seeds. Baglung Nepalese is very hardy and mold-resistant, cold nights and wetness do not cause any problems, by the way, at cooler temperatures the plants also turn wonderfully purple, sometimes you can see dark purple and almost even black leaves on the plants!
