Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About New York City Diesel
Dr Hemps New York City Diesel has its roots New York, USA. This strain tastes and smells like ripe red grapefruits. Dr Hemps N.Y.C. Diesel will leave you an exotic taste, an exotic smell and an exotic high. Dr Hemp grew some mighty fine ganja in The Netherlands from these seeds and proclaimed it one of the best weeds he had ever smoked. NYD is mostly Sativa about 80% and has a long flowering time of around 10 or 11 weeks. It is good for indoor growing, but because of its mainly Sativa characteristics perfect for growing outdoors. Dr Hemps N.Y.C. Diesel only £40 a pack, which is more than half what most other companies charge for similar seeds, yet the quality is just the same, as Dr Hemp believes the price does not have to be high, just the consumer! Flowering time: 11 weeks
