Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The calyx to leaf ratio of the Skunk 1 is close to the highest I have ever seen. I expect that this blend will express the dominant traits of both strains. Northern Lights 9 seemed to be the most suitable for hybridization
with the Skunk 1. I belleve that hybridization is a matter of balancing the Indica and Sativa on both sides so that you achieve an equal blend of both strains that will give an almost synergistic effect. We will see if I'm right
