Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Northern Lights IBL
These Northern Lights origin seeds were acquired from PeakSeedsBC back in 2017-2018, and the germination rates were horrendous. Luckily we had two at least a couple males and one female, so we simply did an open pollination with both males and the sole female. Being an IBL from PeakSeeds they worked on for a decade or two, there won't be much variation with these. Unfortunately PeakSeedsBC went "legal", and is no longer allowed to sell to the general public. So this is purely a preservation run to produce fresh seeds of this line
