Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About OG/99

The 99/OG male providing pollen for the following crosses is a hybrid of a rare cutting of Cinderella 99 ♀ (circa 2011), and a stout, wide leaf Tahoe OG male (same Tahoe OG ♂ used in Tahoe Thunder). This combination created plants with thick, trichome covered buds and long running colas exuding aromas of sour fruit / citrus / OG funk. Watch those humidity levels when nearing harvest, 99/OG ‘s bud size and density unfortunately makes it somewhat mold prone when almost fully mature
