Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). PCK Bred by Imperial Genetics From HighTimes interview: When I first moved out here with some friends, they got me this purple strain from a guy up in the mountains they just know as an old man. We called it "Old Man Purps." That purple strain hermed, I collected the pollen, and I dusted that to the '92 OG and the Trinity. That pollen from that purple strain, to the Trinity made the Trixy, and the pollen from that purple strain to the '92 OG made the Kurple Fantasy. I have two phenos of Kurple from the original crossing, and I recently found another pheno from the Purple Chitral line (PCK, also known as Old Man Purps) that was exactly the same, but much more potent
