Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Ooh La La

As a 50/50 hybrid, this strain really hits a great balance of flavor and effects. Rocking a lower THC level ranging from 14% - 21%, it's said that Ooh La La hits more like a 25% THC strain due to its uniquely high terpene level. The flavor is very sweet with that citrus bite to back it. In what can only be called an explosion of flavor, Ooh La La’s effects are immediately felt. That said, the effects are not too overpowering but have a relaxed, chilled vibe to it. This is one of those strains where it would be hard to over imbibe. As a branded cannabis strain, clones and seeds of Ooh La La have not been released. This strain will only be available as pre-rolls, blunts, vape carts, extracts and flower packed inside immaculately crafted packaging stamped with RTJ’s logo. It is said the parents are Wedding Cake and London Poundcake, but not much else is known. Only growers for Lemonade or affiliated dispensaries will know how this plant behaves in the garden
