Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Orange Mai Tai

Very easy to grow, handles stress excellently, and adapts to any environment There’s a large pheno that produces fewer terpenes but is "caked" – maximum cannabinoid production, GG4#-dominant. Pheno 2 is small, bushy, and has a taste reminiscent of tropical fruit yogurt. Then there's the hybrid pheno, which brings a skunk-like structure and growth pattern, yet features a much higher terpene production, incorporating citrus notes
